ProShow Software
You can continue to use ProShow desktop software indefinitely. You will still be able to install, activate, and use ProShow Gold and ProShow Producer. Services within ProShow that rely on Photodex servers will cease to function on January 31, 2020. This includes the music library and downloadable extras.

You can continue to use any effect packs that you have purchased. You can download your effects packs from the Photodex website up until January 31, 2020.

Technical support via email will not be available after January 31, 2020. After this date, no support will be available for Photodex products.

Upgrades and Purchases
If you do not already own the latest version of ProShow, you may upgrade at any time before January 31, 2020 through the Photodex website. After that date, you will no longer be able to purchase an upgrade. You may continue to use your previous version indefinitely.

Registration Keys

Don't wait... you can only retrieve your registration keys until January 31, 2020.

You will not be able to download the installer for ProShow after January 31, 2020. We strongly encourage all users to download and save the installer for their version of ProShow. You will need to save a copy of the installer if you plan to reinstall ProShow at a later date, however after January 31, 2020 you will not be able to register/activate ProShow Producer as the activation servers have been taken offline permanently..

New FREE slides and shows are on my ProShow Producer group (button top left). This installation is ProShow Producer Blue-ray/DVD/CD Version: 9.0.3797 & ProShow Presenter Version: 9.0.3797. In the folder is the instructions for installation and registration. Please read the instructions in the folder and if you are not sure, you are welcome to contact me if you need to. This is not a ❝cracked❞ version of ProShow Producer 9.0.3797 and is not registered using a possible dangerous ❝patch❞ or an ❝executable❞ that may contain a virus or malware, it is a legitimate purchaser. This is NOT a silent install. It will NOT ❝secretly❞ install any additional applications. ProShow Presenter is good if you want to create a Windows executable (.exe) when you publish your show because ProShow will automatically include a player inside the .exe file so you can send it to anyone and they can play it, they don't have to worry if they don't have a player installed on their computer, but a Presenter show will only play on a Windows system, NOT a Mac.

Please Note: You may get the message ❝Google Drive can't scan this file for viruses. [File Name] is too large for Google to scan for viruses. Would you still like to download this file?❞ You can safely click the [Download anyway] button. I have zipped the files using WinZIP and WinRAR so download whichever applies to you. If you have any issues with my instructions or can't understand anything, feel free to write to me. You can use my contact form if you like.

Important! When you are creating a show or when you are choosing to render your show to a video file, eg .mp4 you may notice the ❛busy❜ icon just goes around and around or that nothing seems to be happening and you simply can't continue working with your show and you abandon the project - DON'T worry - what is happening is Producer is trying to call ❛home❜ to the Photodex servers, but as the servers no longer exist, Producer doesn't get a reply but keeps calling and calling then all you need is an ❝outbound❞ rule in your firewall to stop (block) Producer from calling home. Instructions for this is in the download and the corresponding tutorial on how to install ProShow Producer 9.0.3797. One critical aspect the Photodex developers programmed into its ProShow products that just about anything and everything had to go through the Photodex servers, but that doesn't apply now, the servers are dead in the water, they disappeared into the ether! The registration process in the download mimics the activation servers so you will not fail to activate ProShow Producer 9.0.3797.

For your information: The objective of the creation of the firewall rule has nothing to do with "security protection". You do not turn the firewall off, whether it is the Windows OS firewall or a third party firewall. THE FIREWALL MUST STAY ON. If you turn it off you will be at serious risk. Let me provide some context to help you better understand.
THE ISSUE:
Some people have the following issues after installing ProShow Producer, either,
1. ProShow Producer "hangs" during the slideshow build or during rendering/publishing and this can happen immediately after install and for some members never at all.
2. As above with number one, it can be fine initially and then up to many months later it can become an issue like number one.
3. You are lucky you are in camp that never has this issue arise and that's great for you, but not for others in camp one and two!
THE REASON:
The issue is occurring for those that are in camp one and two above because ProShow Producer is attempting to connect to the Photodex servers and it cannot, the servers were taken offline permanently in January 2020 so the application is hanging, or should I say waiting indefinitely for the servers to answer and any member affected by this has no choice but to force a shutdown of Producer. The Photodex developers programmed their software to call HOME to the Photodex servers during a variety of operations whilst people use Producer, eg while creating a show, while rendering a show, etc, etc.
THE FIX:
The creation of the firewall rule "prevents" ProShow Producer from connecting to the Internet (for any reason!) and thus it prevents the issue explained above in the REASON that "some" folks are having.
WHAT IS "NOT" HAPPENING:
The Windows Defender Firewall (or if you use a 3rd party firewall) is NOT being turned off by adding a rule to it. Microsoft programmers made the firewall to work exactly as it does, with the ability to add rules. Rules can be used for a variety of issues in a computer system. If it were unsafe, Microsoft would not include the rule feature in the operating system. In fact, the video clearly states that the firewall MUST be turned on for this to be effective! The computer is NOT at risk by creating a rule to prevent ProShow Producer from connecting to the Internet, it's that simple.
Not everyone experiences Producer calling home during general use of the software, BUT many do and it is those members, including myself who need to STOP Producer calling home because there is nobody to answer the call at the other end so it renders Producer COMPLETELY USELESS to use from then on. I used it for a year before that calling home issue reared its ugly head and I had to just SIMPLY pop a rule in the firewall to tell Producer, DON'T CALL HOME PLEASE, THERE'S NOBODY THERE TO ANSWER THE CALL, but without a rule you just wait forever and ever once this issue happens.
It has nothing to do with security. Security would be compromised if someone was to turn the firewall off, then in would come viruses, malware, etc, etc. A RULE IS NOT SECURITY!!
If you have never had the constant busy problem and not being able to render a show then you can consider yourself lucky, but not everyone has that fantastic experience.

A couple of employees of Photodex who lost their jobs when the company closed the business started Photopia, but Photopia is subscription based only and very expensive for a lot of people in these harsh economic times. And, what I don't Like about Photopia is that if you can't afford to carry on with your subscription then that's the end of your access to your files on the Photopia servers. I don't doubt Photopia have an affordable product for some people, but it's unfair to lose access to ❝your own files❞ if it becomes unaffordable! Which is why I wrote the utility so people could carry on using such an amazing product as ProShow Producer and not feel pressured into using an alternative product.

If you have ProShow Producer version 9 installed and having trouble registering it, you may try this easy way first. Some people have had success if they are installing their ProShow Producer 9 version on a computer that had a crash, but I personally have not done this as I prefer a complete fresh install of my version and using my activation utility to register my PSP 9. You can download the three files below and overwrite the files in the program directory. If you are unsuccessful I would recommend you download the program and activation from my website and start from a ❝fresh❞ install which will give you success for sure.
